Diversitybusiness.com Honors Simon as an Elite Privately-Held Company

January 18, 2012 –  Nikki Simon and her planning, design and roadway construction management company, Simon Engineering and Consulting, Inc., recently was named a 2012 “Top Business” by DiversityBusiness.com.

According to DiversityBusiness.com – the nation’s leading multicultural business-to-business Internet portal that links large organizational buyers to multicultural product and service businesses – this prestigious honor recognizes the country’s top 500 privately-held companies, ranging in revenue from under $1 million to more than $3 billion.

DiversityBusiness.com will honor Simon and each private and corporate company winner during its 12th annual National Business Awards Ceremony and Conference from April 25-27 at the Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

“To be honored alongside so many successful and well-deserving privately-owned companies throughout the U.S. is a testament to the hard work my team puts in on a daily basis,” Simon, a Class 13 graduate of Leadership Frisco, said. “This accomplishment, however, would not be possible had it not been for the continued support of the agencies we have had an opportunity to work on projects for within the Dallas-Fort Metroplex.”

Among its current projects, Simon is the prime design team for the Fort Worth Transportation Authority’s new Sierra Vista Transit Plaza and its staff provides support in design management for the development of new DFW Metroplex corridors and improvements to existing toll roads for the North Texas Tollway Authority.

Past transportation and/or design projects for Simon staff include improvement projects to Frisco’s First and Seventh streets and Cedar Hill’s Lake Ridge Parkway, among many others.

When not working on projects, Simon, who is a Frisco Sunrise Rotary Club member, serves as president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) DFW Chapter.
